On December 29th, a large group gathered in front of the Hirschen restaurant in Herblingen to then embark on a hike of about two hours to Thayngen.
At the forester's lodge, we gained a few more members, and then we continued on via Gwölb to Thayngen. Along the way, we were able to take a break and enjoy an aperitif. We soon set off again, and thanks to the expert guidance of Gusti Gwerder and Ruedi Schweizer, we arrived punctually at noon at the Gemeindehaus restaurant in Thayngen. Several other members of the men's gymnastics club were already waiting there, having traveled by public transport or car, and were very happy to see so many colleagues again.
First, we had to quench our thirst, and then we were served soup, followed by delicious creamed schnitzel with noodles and vegetables. For dessert, there was a caramelized cream custard, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. During the meal, and especially afterward over coffee, there was lively discussion and reminiscing about past shared experiences.
Our sincere thanks go to the two hiking guides, Gusti and Ruedi, for a wonderful final hike of 2021.
